ENLARGED PORES
Enlarged pores, typically on the nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin, are one of the toughest challenges to treat. These pores can respond to hormonal changes making them produce more oil, and leading to acne in the teenage years. In addition, adult-onset acne and rosacea can also lead to enlarged pores. The sun can also significantly contribute to enlarged pores, and overactive oil glands.
ENLARGED PORES TREATMENT:
- Topical Retinoids such as Retin-A, and AHAs (like glycolic acid) can remove keratin and oil that clog pores, thus reducing the size of the pores and the oil glands themselves
- Resurfacing Lasers such as ResurFX™ or Fractora™ are effective at shrinking enlarged pores and improving skin texture. They are recommended in combination with topical products.
