I went to Thousand Oaks Dermatology to get my regular check up. Somehow, Dr. Curcio found this little speck on the left crease of my nose. Biopsy showed it positive for an aggressive BCC. She then did the Mohs surgery. I tell you, her dedication to getting ALL my cancer was amazing. After trying to spare as much tissue as possible and finally skin grafting the surgical area, you could never tell my face was worked on for more than 8 hrs (7 Mohs layers).
Her skill and bedside manner are second to none. I’ve had way too many surgeries, 24, but she was the BEST! Technically, personally, and skill-wise. I’m sad she left the So Cal area. Nashville is fortunate to have her. She’s a great doctor and an even better person. I’ll miss her.
